The day before your procedure, you will have a preoperative visit at Atchafalaya Obstetrics and Gynecology. During this visit, Dr. Morice will review the procedure with you and other details, such as what to eat the night before.
Dr. Morice performs tubal reversal procedure at a nearby surgical center in Houma, LA. Microsurgical tubal reversal, or tubal reanastomosis requires only a small incision in the belly button and a small incision below the bikini line. The procedure takes only 1 to 1.5 hours. Recovery lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours at the surgery center. After this, you are free to return home or to your hotel room. Remember, this is an outpatient procedure so no overnight hospital stay is required.
